Rena Sofer

  Rena Sherel, born on December 2nd 1968, is an American actress. She is best known for her roles on the daytime network, as well as episodic guest appearances and made-for-television movies. Sofer won an Daytime Emmy Award 1995 for her role as Lois Cerullo of the soap show General Hospital. From 2013 until 2022, she played Quinn Fuller on the CBS soap show The Bold and the Beautiful.





 Early life



 Sofer was born in Arcadia, California, the daughter of Susan Sofer (nee Franzblau), a psychology professor, and Martin Sofer, an Orthodox rabbi.





 She and her brother moved with David and her father to Teaneck (New Jersey) in the year 1970. They lived in Western Pennsylvania when Sofer was five years old. The family was raised in Ambridge, Pennsylvania by their father, Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She was a student at the Frisch School, a coeducational Modern Orthodox Jewish highschool in Paramus (New Jersey). Sofer was born in North Bergen where her father was the synagogue's rabbi Temple Beth El. After graduating from North Bergen High School she went on to Montclair State College.





 Career



 Daytime television



 Lois Marie Cerullo was the first Lois Marie Cerullo that Sofer played on General Hospital. Her first appearance was in 1993 as a manager for a band. Her first major part was that of Rocky McKenzie on the daytime soap opera Loving (1988-91).
