Mary McDonnell
Mary Eileen McDonnell was born on April 28, 1952. She is an American stage actor, film and television star. Her parts in Dances with Wolves, Stands With A Fist and Passion Fish were rewarded with Academy Award nominations. McDonnell is well-known for her performances as First Lady Marilyn Whitmore in Independence Day and President Laura Roslin on Battlestar Galactica. In seasons 7 and 7 she was in the role of Captain Sharon Raydor and in Major Crimes spin-offs on TNT.
